FROZEN SKY *WILL* BE AVAILABLE ON KINDLE ASAP

For some reason, this morning the Kindle edition of The Frozen Sky became “Currently Not Available.”

I don’t know why.  I didn’t take it down.  Print, audio, Nook, and Kobo editions remain for sale.  Kindle editions of my other titles are still up, too.  Me thinks there’s a glitch in the Amazon machine?  I’ve called and emailed.  Ideally, the problem will be fixed soon.

Please stand by!    🙂

Guest appearance with monster master Scott Sigler

In other fun news, I have a short podcast hosted by the evil yet mega-talented Scott Sigler this week on his blog.

If you haven’t read his triangles books or the awesome, freaky, science thriller Ancestor, you are missing out!!!

Nocturnal is nearing the top of my “to read” stack.  It ridiculous how far I am behind on my reading.  But this is a book I’ve been anticipating because I believe Scott is more deranged than I…   😉

Great News In 2013!!!

First:  I’m alive.  I know it’s been quiet for a few weeks.  With the holidays and a killer deadline, I’ve been a busy little duck.   Back now!

Second:  How’s this for an awesome new endorsement of The Frozen Sky!?!?!

The Frozen Sky combines Golden Age roots with modern-day sensibilities to create a story that is gripping, intelligent, and entirely new.  Highly recommended.”
Seanan McGuire, New York Times bestselling author of  Midnight Blue-Light Special

Wow.  THANK YOU!!

Third, the Plague Year trilogy has sold in Dutch to a publisher with the awesome name of MACC Zilverspoor, which makes me think of Roger Zelazny, precious metals, and the evil, alien, interstellar spoor seeds from Invasion of the Body Snatchers.  Zilverspoor.  How can you go wrong with a name like that!?    🙂

Zilverspoor has posted the Plague Year book trailer on their site with announcements that I can’t read in their extremely cool language.  Check it out!  I love the extra vowels.  It looks a bit like Czech to me.  My editors there are good, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable.  I can’t wait to see the books.

More soon.

Vonnie comes alive!!!

New excitement from Europa this week.

The Frozen Sky is now an eleven-hour audiobook as narrated by the sly and evocative Amy H. Sturgis

She becomes Vonnie in ways I hoped and expected.  Amy and I worked together previously on short stories for Starshipsofa, including the original short story of “The Frozen Sky.”   She was the natural choice to step into the adventure.

If you’re an audiophile, check it out!

Her audiobook should also be available on iTunes and Amazon this week.
